LSD Cup and Shield Match Report

We have had feedback from several clubs relating to litter around their ground and in changing rooms. Can we please request all user to respect the facilities and where possible to dispose using a bin or if one isn’t available please take the litter with them and dispose at home.

The first round of both the LSD Cup and Shield competitions took place today with some interesting results. The two top clashes between Bhalot verses AK Eagles and Kashmir verses Whiterose eliminated two teams you would expect to make it to the later stages of the competition but its wasn’t to be for both 2nd and 3rd place AK Eagles CC and Whiterose who lost to their respective opposition Bhalot Strikers and Kashmir, who had a poor start to the league games. The draws for the quarter finals of the cup and semi finals of the shield will be take place live on the league Facebook page during this week. Heaton Park had a comfortable win against Bradford Moor and move to the next round. Diamond lost to Scouthill by 10 wickets and Darulshafa scored the highest innings total of 314 for 4 against Nafees. Karmand won by just three wickets against Rising Stars. The final fixture between Yorkshire Lions and Great Horton Sports was also a one sided match as Great Horton Sport chased their target with the loss of just two wickets.

The first result to be reported came in from the Shield Competition, CAX’s XI bowled out Crescent Section leaders Kings XI Lahore cheaply and won by 9 wickets and will play Central Leeds at Jer Lane tomorrow. Ghourghusti continue with their successful season as they beat AMYA by 8 wickets and play Tabs CC at Greenfield CC, off Coach Road. Shipley. Northcliffe beat Bradford Riders by 5 wickets and play Indus Bradford at Westwood Park Cricket Club, Bradford. Mirpur Royals beat Nathia CC by 5 wickets, Mirpur Royals will play Wakefield Stars at Mayfield Cricket Club, Bradford tomorrow.
