Dewsbury Cricket League season to start on 1st August

After weeks of discussions between the league committee, Kirklees Council and YCB, finally the league received confirmation from Kirkless council to give access to the cricket playing fields as early as the 1st August.

The committee and clubs will meet to discuss the next steps.

Would to take this this opportunity to thank Steve Archer from YCB for assisting in the matter and avoiding a complete cancellation of the league’s season and also Kirklees Council for allowing the member club to play a game they all love.

Further details will be posted once the committee and clubs come to an agreement.
