Committee Continues to Suspend 2nd elements of rule 9d.

During the previous season amateur cricket who played as an overseas player in Saturday affiliated leagues but not as a first class cricketer were allowed to registers with the league as many Saturday clubs struggled to recruit players from other nations due to covid restriction

The matter was raised with the committee in writing on the 10th April by Diamond CC to request that this rule be suspended to allow new to the country spouses, student etc to play as long as they did not play first class cricket during the past 5 years (first element of the rule 9).

The matter was discussed by the committee who were unanimous to suspend the rule and review at the next league AGM as this would continue to promote the game to amateur cricketers and removed the barrier for ordinary individuals to play in the league.
