Member clubs approve increment over increase in line with ECB guidance

On Tuesday the league executive committee put forward two proposals in line with the recent guidance issued by ECB.

Proposal 1 – Each inning consists of 35 overs during the month of Ramadan (18th April – 9th May 2021) followed by a 5 over increment increase to 40 overs from the 16th May 2021 during the sanitising break (stage 2) and if the roadmap out of lockdown goes as mapped (subject to government guidelines) we would return to maximum over of 45 from the 27th June.

Proposal 2 – Each inning consists of 35 overs during the month of Ramadan (18th April – 9th May 2021) followed by a 5 over increment increase to 40 overs from the 16th May 2021 until the end of the season.

Only one member voted for Proposal 2 whilst the rest of the member clubs voted for proposal 1.
