You would be mistaken to think the summer had finally arrived just a few weeks before we move into the Autumn season, as we had a beautiful day for cricket and some of the results today were possible due to the nice day.

With just 2 games to go, Bhalot Strikers CC are finally crown league champions for season 2023 after coming 2nd for 3 consecutive year. They won by 153 against Bradford Moor who only took 3 points from todays game and are now strong contenders for relegation. Heaton Park beat Karmand by 8 wickets increasing their chance of avoiding relegation. They play 9th place Rising Star next week and the outcome of the game may alter the relegation, Rising Star lost by just 12 runs against Kashmir today who now have secured 4th place to qualify for next season T100 as they only need 4 points from their last 2 games. AK Eagles won today against Whiterose by 19 runs to continue their chance to secure 2nd place. Great Horton Sports beat Darulshafa by 4 wickets to end up middle table.

Nafees and Kings XI Lahore both won today and are joint 1st place with the small difference in the net run rate. Both teams fixture next week may determine which one team does on to gain promotion. Nafees won by 7 wickets against TAB’s whilst Kings XI Lahore also had a comfortable 7 wicket win over Yorkshire Lions. Rajput maintain the pressure on both top two teams as they won by 28 runs today against Nathia United in a low scoring game. Leeds Stallions won their last three consecutive games as they beat Diamond by 2 wickets. They go on to play Nafees next week and could change the promotion opportunities at the top of the table. Subhan also won today, this time to mid table Scouthill by 31 runs.

Congratulation to Bradford Riders who have secured promotion to Crescent Section for Season 2024, They will now play the top team in Star Section on Sunday, 24th September to decide the champion. Bradford Riders scored the highest innings total of 361 for 8 with a record breaking partnership of 290 runs. Also congratulation to Chach who won their first league game of the season against 2nd place Wakefield Stars by 5 wickets. Khan beat Central Leeds again, this time they chased their target of 123 for the loss of just 4 wickets.

It’s very tight at the top of the Star Section, Indus Bradford won today by 8 wickets to maintain their 1st position at the top with 2nd and 3rd place, Northcliffe and CAX’s XI also securing maximum points to keep the pressure on Indus Bradford at the top, Northcliffe scored the 2nd highest innings total of 302 for 7 today against AMYA North East whilst CAX’XI won by 6 wickets in their group match. Ghourghushti XI beat Friends by 73 runs in a reduced over game.
