The demand to be part of the league continues to grow, the league reached the milestone of 400 registered players at the end of May, since then it has registered another 60 players as the competition reaches its penultimate fixtures. Member clubs have been strengthening to either play for the top spot, play offs or to avoid relegation.
Kashmir continues to dominate the Premier Section as they maintain a clean sheet, they remain unbeaten as they secured their 7th win as they beat Diamond by 77 runs at Moorland Cricket Club. Whiterose and Bhalot also had comfortable win to maintain the 2nd and 3rd position respectively. AK Eagles were outplayed by Darulshafa as they won by 9 wickets, chasing a target of 213. Subhan also won to move them to mid table as they chased Karmand’s target of 221, securing a win by 4 wickets.
Top of the table match between Rising Star and Scouthill was won by Rising Star by 50 runs as they extended their lead, last year play off qualifiers Kings XI Lahore also won by 8 wickets today against Nathia and keep the pressure on Rising Star for the 1st and 2nd place. Yorkshire Lions move into 3rd place as they beat Amaan by 4 wickets at Sandy Lane. Northcliffe travelled to East Keswick to play Leeds Stallion who batted first and were bowled out for 194 runs, in return Northcliffe chased the score with the loss of 6 wickets which moves them to mid-table in the Crescent Section. Kings XI had a comfortable win over Indus Bradford at Garforth Cricket Club, Indus Elected to bat first and were bowled out for 166, Kings XI chased the score with the loss of just 4 wickets.
The bottom of the table tie in the Star Section was won by Friends, Friends batted first and set a target score of 262 in their 40 overs, Khan 2nd XI fought well but could only manage 194 for 6 in their 40 overs. All top three team (Rajpoot, Punjab and Wakefield Stars) won and maintained their respective position, whilst Heaton Park moved into 4th as they beat AQ Khan by 159 runs. Rajpoot beat Mylahore Tabs A by 105 runs, whilst Punjab won by 74 runs and Wakefield Star beat Central Leeds by 113 runs.
