We had a slight delay to the official start time after several days of continuous rain but a complete contrast to last weeks weather. Not a cloud in sight and a sunny day at the start of the game which benefitted the batting side. The wicket played just as well even with some moisture on it.
Once play got of to a start Hanover lost two early wickets and with just 2 extra runs from last Sundays total. Handover extended their total before losing another 2 quick wickets and it looked less likely that Hanover was going to maintain their unbeaten record. The 7th wicket put on a good partnership with some defiant batting which put them back in the game. Both batters were eventually caught in the deep to put Brighouse Qalandars back in the game. Hanover then fought back and took the game to Brighouse in the final over, needing 9 runs with 1 wicket to spare. A outstanding running catch from long on to mid on, secured a 7 runs win by Brighouse Qalandars and the celebration commenced with pitch invasion.
