A special person who was in all our hearts

It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of our friend and enthusiastic cricketer, Ken Griffiths who passed away last week.

Ken joined the league in the early 2000’s as an umpire along with his team fellow and friend Frank Barnett. He was one of the favourite umpires and well liked by clubs because of his kind nature. Ken also volunteered as the league’s umpire secretary and I had the pleasure of working with him to assist with the running of the QEASCL. I can still remember Ken popping in when his daughter was freelancing near my house.

Our deepest condolences to his son Jay and the family for their loss. Your dad’s amazing personality lives on through you. Sending you love during this difficult time.
