The match had all the excitement expected from both clubs who deserved to make it to the final, Kashmir batted first and after a slow and difficult start Kashmir were 73 for 3 after the 22nd over. The innings of captain Ibrar Latif (36), Farukh Alam (37) and Armaan Hussain (28) accelerated the score in the 2nd half of their innings as they set a target score of 209. Kashmir scored 52 runs in the final 6 overs which gave them to upper hand defending their target.

Whiterose lost two early wickets in the first two overs and were on the back foot with Kashmir in high spirits. Whiterose 3rd wicket consolidated they innings before then losing two wickets in the early 70’s. 210 runs seem to be an impossible chase but a late flurry of runs from the lower order kept the crowd to stay to the final overs of the game, with 4 wickets in hand in the final 7 overs needing 58 runs the chase was on and seemed within reach. Mubtada Akhtar innings gave Whiterose hope but they lost quick wickets and were all bowled out in the 2nd last over and fell 40 runs short.
