Pre – Match Report
After a complete wash out last week, clubs are eager to get the game in tomorrow (30th July 2023) with some interesting fixtures.

Darulshafa take on Bhalot at Green Lane CC, the winner of the fixture is likely to have the upper hand as the teams go head to head in the LSD cup final to be played on the 27th August at Park Avenue, Bradford. 2nd Place AK Eagles hope to narrow the gap at the top of the table as they take on Karmand at Park Avenue. All four teams in the relegation zone play each other and the results is likely to reshape the standing at the bottom of the table after tomorrows results. Heaton Park will host Bradford Moor at Rawdon Meadows, whilst Great Horton Sports host Rising Stars at Hopton Mills and Kashmir host Whiterose at Elland CC.

The fixtures at the top of the Crescent Section tomorrow is likely to change the table standing as Scouthill host Nafees at Bradley and Colnebridge CC in the local derby whilst 3rd place Subhan take on 4th place Kings XI Lahore at Gildersome CC. Can Rajput move to the top of the table, they are hoping Scouthill will do them a favour by beating Nafees.

In the Jinnah Section top three play opposite side of the their respective table so should be able to maintain their standing, whilst the 3rd place Ghourghusti take on 4th place CAX’s XI in the Star Section, the winner may have an outside chance of gaining promotion if Indus Bradford who are leading the table drop a few games.

It’s all to play for tomorrow, just to remind clubs, the deadline for registering new players ends on midnight of the 31st July 2023.

Post Match Report

The Premier Section is now shaping up at the top of the table, AK Eagles lost today against Karmand by 19 runs but narrowly kept their 2nd place with just 3 points above Whiterose who had a comfortable win against Kashmir as they beat them by 95 runs. Bhalot continues with the unbeaten record as they beat Darulshafa by 55 runs. Clearly we will have a new Premier Section Champion after Kashmir dominated for the past three years. Bhalot were runners-up in all the three previous seasons, will this be their year. Both Bradford Moor and Rising Star won beating Heaton Park and Great Horton respectively, after todays results there is just 7 points between the four team in the relegation zone.

Nafees move to the top spot in the Crescent Section as they beat Scouthill by 8 wickets. Kings XI Lahore had a tough game against Subhan but just passed over the line with 3 wickets in the 2nd ball of the final over to claim 19 points. Nathia continue to put the pressure on the top three as they beat Daimond by 2 wickets. Tabs surprised Rajput as they beat them by 5 wickets. With just 24 points between 1st and 5th place its still very tight for the top spot.

Bradford Riders extend their lead by 24 points as both Mirpur Royals and Wakefield Star were beaten today. Mirpur Royals lost to Central Leeds by 16 runs, whilst Khan convincingly beat Wakefield Stars as they chased their total of 80 in just 10.3 overs.

No change at the top of the Star Section, as all three Indus Bradford, CAX’s XI and Northcliffe secured wins today, Indus Bradford have a healthy lead at the top and play Northcliffe on the final league match before playing in the final four fixtures.
