After losing to league Leaders Whiterose last week, AK Eagles maintain their confidence to go hard as they scored the highest innings total of 367 with just losing 3 wickets in their 45 overs against Bradford Riders at Spen Victoria. Bradford Riders did fight back after losing 5 wickets for just 85 runs and finished on 205 before they were bowled out in the 38 over. After four league games Both Whiterose and Northern Warriors remain unbeaten could this a year we have another league Champion or will AK Eagles and Kashmir secure another championship title. Whiterose had a 63 run win against struggling Karmand who have only managed to win 1 out of their 4 games, as did Northern Warriors who played against their local rivals Bhalot Strikers. Northern Warriors won the toss and elected to bat first, Bhalot were all over them and controlled the game with Northern Warriors on 78 for 8, the final two wickets took their score to 173 as they were bowled out in the 36 overs. Bhalot struggled from the first over and at one stage had lost 5 wickets for just 25 runs and the task seem to be impossible for them. The were bowled out in the 71th over for just 103 runs. The remain at the foot of the Premier Section table. Rajput had a narrow 3 wicket win with against White Wolves in the 44th over of their innings and chased the first innings total of 260.
Nathia United remains the only club unbeaten in the Crescent Section as they secured another win today, they chased Brighouse total of 247 in the 36th over and won by 3 wickets. Hanover were surprised today as they were all bowled out for just 67 runs against Mirpur Royals who chased their total in the 14th over. Both Subhan and and Diamond are yet to register their first win whilst Heaton Park secured their first win convincingly against Ayaan by chasing their total of 149 in the 28th over with the loss of just 2 wickets. Bradford Moor won against Subhan by 22 runs and now take them into 2nd place.
It’s close at the top of the Jinnah Section, Mirpur Royals won by 7 wickets against AQ Khan and move to 4th place, whilst White Wolves B, Wakefield Star and Secure Homes all won to to maintain their position at the top of the table. TAB’s secured their first win of the season by a margin of 144 against Mayfield.
Hazro and Northcliffe continue their unbeaten record in the Star Section with forth win of the season, Hazro beat Indus Bradford by 56 runs, whilst Northcliffe won by 8 wickets with a comfortable chase against Leeds Star. With only nine points between 3rd and 6th place it is likely to be a competitive season in the table. AMYA North East won comfortably against Kashmirians to maintain 3rd place. A low scoring game at Sandy Lane saw Gemini Falcons secure another win to move into 5th place.
