The most successful event in the short history of the league, the game played at Jinnah Arena was an exciting finish that we are all too familiar with in the Quaid e Azam Premier Cricket League as Central Leeds chased the target of 205 in the 45th over, finishing in style. Needing 2 runs in the final over of the game on 204 for 7, man of the match Kyle de Wet hit a straight six over mid on and the crowd erupted and shirts were coming off as Central Leeds player ran onto the pitch to record the first time to when the shield. The match could have gone anyway but the 46 run partnership for the 8th wicket between Captain, Ashfaq Patel and Keeper Kyle De Wet changed the game in Central Leeds favour as Wakefield Star realized the game was slipping away from them.
Both teams put on a excellent show of the high standard of cricket played in the league and played well. They certainly didn’t disappoint the crowd who stayed until the last over of the game and who had travelled as far at Sheffield.
Hats of to Muhammad Maan and his team Kuldeep Rana, Abdul Qaddus Khan, Muhammad Nadeem, Nasir Mahmood, Nisar Ahmed, Sagar Sawant, Hassan and Chitko for making all the arrangements at Jinnah Arena.
