Just before we start today’s match report, we wish to congratulate one of our umpiring official Tim Grogan on his re-election win last Thursday. Tim not only won with a bigger majority but now representative a much wider ward in Selby Council. The hard work now start for Tim as he did in the past four years. Tim is renowned for his commitment as he has demonstrated with his time for the league.
AK Eagles maintained their 100% record at the top of the Premier Section after a win over Bhalot by just 4 runs with Karmand now moving into 2nd place as they beat Diamond CC by 18 runs. Bradford Moor and Diamonds are still looking for their first win of the season in the Premier Section.
The Crescent Section remains tense as Central Leeds, Yorkshire Lions, Cricademia and Indus Bradford have just 2 points between them. Both Yorkshire Lions and Cricademia have a game in hand and could put further pressure at the top of the table.
Heaton Park also maintain their 100% record at the top of the Jinnah Section with Great Horton Sport CC narrowing the gap as they secured maximum points in their win against Wakefield Stars CC.
The competition in the Star Section is just as tense as the Crescent Section but between Friends, Scouthill and Punjab, with just 2 points between them which team will drop points and fall behind. Whilst at the foot of the table both Kings XI and Bradford United B CC are still in search for their first win of the season.
