Match Report – 2nd June 2024

With a poor start to the season we have now completed the first third of the season and the tables are now shaping up.

The top of the Premier table tie between Whiterose and AK Eagles at Park Avenue was a one sided game dominated by AK Eagles. AK Eagles elected to bat first and set a target of 258 with the loss of 6 wickets in their 45 overs. AK Eagles bowled out Whiterose in the 28th over for just 97 and now lead the table on 90 points. All the remaining fixtures in the Premier Section were also once sided, Karmand beat Great Horton Sport by 126 runs. Bhalot Strikers who were last season champions have move up the table as the beat Northern Warriors (Darulshafa CC) by 112 runs. Three times champions Kashmir also had an easy win over Kings XI Lahore by 8 wickets and now move to forth place. Rising Star beat promoted Nafees by 5 wickets as they chased their target of 153.

Promoted Braford Riders continue to surprise as the lead the table in the Crescent Section and maintain a 100% record and only dropped 3 points, they beat Rajpoot by just 1 wickets. Indus Bradford continue to struggle in the Crescent Section as they lost by 9 wickets against Bradford Moor. Whilst Diamond bounced back by beating Heaton Park by 66 runs and move to mid table. Batley and Brighouse Warriors also won to maintain 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

New member Hanover maintain their position at the top of the Jinnah Section as they beat Mayfield by 7 wickets. Brighouse Qalandar also won today to maintained the 100% record in the Star Section but close on their tail in top four position, United Friends, Friends and Bradford United who also won. United Friends set a new record for this season to score 499 runs against Leeds Star.
