In preparation for the end of season the annual awards presentation will take place on Sunday, 20th October, doors open at 6.00pm at Aagrah Midpoint, Bradford.
We will be hosting the AdilCo Cup Final next Sunday, 25th August at Park Avenue, Canterbury Avenue, Bradford, BD5 0PX. Match will start at 12.00pm.
Not a good start to the day, as most team experience difficulties with using play-cricket and were not able to use live scoring during todays matches.
The potential championship decider between AK Eagles and Whiterose in the end became a one sided game as AK Eagles outplayed Whiterose. At break Whiterose looked to be in control as they bowled AK Eagles for just 129 in the 36th over. In the first over of Whiterose they lost 2 wickets and struggled to get the ball of the square other than the odd boundary. They ever eventually bowled out in the 29th over for 66 runs. AK Eagles took maximum advantage of the Spen Victoria sloop to get the bowl turning at both ends. Karmand had a relevant easy game against Great Horton Sports who have no moved to the relegation zone in 9th place. Kashmir, Rising Stars and Bhalot also had comfortable wins over their opposition. The fight of 3rd and 4th place is on, can Northern Warriors and Karmand maintain their position or will Kashmir and Bhalot fight to the end.
Three out of the five game in the Crescent Section when to the final over with all the teams batting second crossing the line, Bradford Moor beat Indus Bradford by 2 wickets, whilst Heaton Park won by 3 wickets against Diamonds and Bradford Riders continue to win this time against Rajput by 3 wickets. Batley and Tabs had comfortable win over Nathia United and Brighouse Warriors. Batley now move to second place with Bradford Riders 27 points ahead at the top of the table.
Mirpur Royal scored the highest innings total in today fixtures, they set a target of 298 in their 40 overs for Leeds Stallions who they bowled out cheaply for 121. In 4 out of the 5 game all the clubs set a target above 200 securing the maximum batting points. All the games were one side as Hanover won by 81 runs whilst Nathia United B won their inter group match and Wakefield Star beat AQ Kahn by 129 runs.
A surprise win for Ghourghushti who won today against Star Section leaders Bradford Qalandars by 69 runs. With maximum points of 60 for the final three games Brighouse Qalandars only need to 13 points and difficult but not impossible for Ghourghushti to take 1st place. Bradford United had a close win against AMYA North East, They chased the score with just 1 wicket to spare. Gemini Falcons beat Friends by 15 runs as they bowled Friends out for 166 runs.
