Match Report – 17th July 2022

Temperature were high but not as expected during today, however there were some mix results, some below par scores but at the same time some expectational high results with a new record. Scouthill set another record by scoring 473 for 4 with a double ton from Zamurd Khan (202 unbeaten) at Hopton Mill CC

No change at the top of the Premier Section, all top five clubs secured win and secured maximum points except Bhalot who dropped 3 points in their game against Rising Stars.

In the Crescent Section the top five remain in the same position and have just 35 points difference them with top spot and fifth place. Mostly likely it will go to final week to secure a place in the play offs. Subhan the pick of the team in the section won the toss and they elected to bat first and score a whopping 393 for 9 of their 45 overs and then bowled Bradford United out for just 121 in the 25th over.

Great Horton Sports move back into joint second place as they benefited from the game at the top of the table between Nathia United and Heaton Park, in a low securing and Heaton Park maintained their unbeaten record after 11 out of the 14 fixtures with a narrow 6 run win at Sherburn. Khan had a comfortable win at Ben Rydding with Northcliffe B to move to joint 2nd place. The bottom of the table tie between AQ Khan and Mylahore Tabs A was a close contest as AQ Khan fell 16 runs short as they tried to chase a target of 226 set by Mylahore Tabs A.

Scouthill maintained their top spot as they set a new league record of 473 for 4. Northcliffe A loss to Mylahore Tabs B has now made it difficult for them to chase for a place in the play off. Punjab secured a 5 wicket win over Kings XI to increase their chance for a place in the play offs.
