After all most three months of preparation, the new season got of to an interesting start, last year’s league winners Kashmir lost their opening match to AK Eagles and we had our first tie of the season with both Karmand and Bhalot on level scores. Newly promoted Rajput and Rising Stars to the Premier Section both got of to a excellent start as they both secured maximum points. Newcomers Cricademia Academy, Great Horton Sports, Northcliffe B and AMY North East all had comfortable wins over the opponents.
Since the leagues Play Cricket training session in early March the member clubs have registered over 941 players and become familiar with players registration, live scoring, uploading results and scoresheets.
The transition for the old system to play cricket was led by Methab Afzal who has supported all the club throughout the transition. On behalf of the committee and the member clubs we wish to recognise his contribution for the league to achieve this smooth transition.
