What promised to be a thrilling finish was unfortunately cut short when the heavens opened, disappointing the crowd.
Batley CC’s innings had initially looked like a walk in the park as they cruised towards Whiterose’s target of 216. However, a flurry of quick wickets brought the game back into the balance before the umpires took the players off the field due to the threat of lightning.
The match will resume at 10:30am tomorrow, ahead of the semi-finals and final of the Whiterose Direct T20 competition.
