It’s been another busy winter for the committee, meeting new applicants to join the league for season 2025.
In the league’s inaugural year a mission statement was agreed and one of the leagues’ four goals was to grow the number of clubs from 24 in the first season to 40 at the end of the fifth season. It is with pride and hard work from the committee members to celebrate this achievement. We also appreciate the contribution from Saturday league (Bradford PL, Huddersfield CL, AireWharf CL, Dales CL, Pontefract CL and Halifax CL) clubs who have made this possible as without their support in providing access to ground this growth may not have been achievable.
With the acceptance of the following clubs for season 2025, the league now have 40 clubs in 4 sections (division).
- Premier Section (10 clubs)
- Crescent Section (10 Clubs)
- Parallel Section – Jinnah (10 Clubs) and Star Section (10 Clubs)
New clubs joining season 2025
- Secured Homes Cricket Club, Bradford
- Yorkshire United Cricket Club, Huddersfield
- Kashmirians Cricket Club, Dewsbury
We have a forth club who we are currently in discussion with and may join either the QEAPCL or the Dewsbury and District SCL.
At the Dewsbury and District CL AGM it was agreed that for season 2026 the clubs in the DDCL will form the 5th Section (division) of the Quaid e Azam Premier Cricket League and any new clubs wishing to apply to the league would join the 5th section.
Preparing for Season 2025
Currently clubs in the QEAPCL have been asked to confirm their club name, secretaries, ground available and to pay their affiliation fee by 26th January 2025.
The league will publish the season 2025 fixtures on Sunday 2nd February 2025, including Cup, Shield and T100 draws. Dewsbury and District SCL Fixtures will be available on Sunday, 16th February 2025, Including Cup, T20 and 8 a side.
The QEAPCL pre-season meeting will take place on Tuesday, 1st April 2025 at 6.30pm. Venue to confirm.
The DDSCL pre-season meeting will take place on Sunday, 30th March 2025 at 6.30pm @ Taleem Centre.
The season for both QEAPCL and DDSCL will start on the 20th April and end on the 14th September 2025.
