Its good to see that we can all unite and celebrate one of two Eids on the same day throughout the country and on behalf of the league committee we wish all players and umpires Eid Mubarak.
Not the best of days for cricket and the overnight rain certainly didn’t dampen the scores in todays matches as we had a number of matches scoring well above the maximum batting points. It remained overcast all day and the conditions favoured the ballers.

AK Eagles and Whiterose both secured comfortable wins to maintain their unbeaten run in the Premier Section and are now joint first place as AK Eagles dropped a points in todays match against Rising Stars. Whilst a win for Karmand and Bhalot moved them closer at the top of the tables. Diamond and Bradford Moor are still yet to secure their first win of the season as we reach the 1st quarter of the season next week.
Central Leeds set a record for season 2022 as they set a target of 351 in their 45 overs as the beat Cricademia by 69 runs at New Rovers CC to maintain the pressure at the top of the table. Chach and Bradford are still to secure their first win in the Crescent season.
Heaton Park remained the only side in the Jinnah Section to maintain a clean sheet as they beat AQ Khan by 165 runs, the match of the day at Old Town CC in Halifax between Nathia United v Khan had over 600 runs between them, Nathia United scored 300 in 35 overs and Khan chased the score with the loss of 4 wickets to secure their first win. Mylahore Tabs A was the only team not to secure their first.
In the Star Section both Scouthill and Punjab continue to lead the table at the top as both secured their 3rd win, whilst at the bottom of the table Mylahore Tabs B, Kings XI and Bradford United 2nd XI are yet to secure their first win.
