Cup Final – Match Report

Karmand reached their first cup final and were outplayed by Whiterose who won the toss and elected to bat first with a strong start by the openers who got Whiterose in control in the early stages of the game, Karmand fought back and took 4 mid order wickets but an innings from Cosmond, Sam and Mubtaba took the game away from Karmand as they reached a total of 290, (6.44 runs per over). Man of the match inning from Waleed Akhtar of 108 runs played a solid faultless innings.

Karmand came in with a positive intent with the captain leading the charge but it wasn’t to be their day as they lost wickets even though most of the batters got into double figure. Karmand needed one of their players to take the game away but some disciplined spin bowling made it difficult for them. The 2nd contender for the man of the match Muhammed Rameez conceded just 4 runs in his 9 over and clean the mid to lower batting order ending up with 6 wickets. Karmand were all bowled out for 128 runs in the 35th over.
