Bank Holiday Match Report – Mohammed ‘Billy’ Saddique Shield

Two of four fixtures were cancelled early in the day due to the overnight rain, in hindsight the right decision as the two fixtures that did start only one completed due to further rain during the afternoon.

Gemini Falcons became the first club to make it to the semi finals of the Shield competition after they chased Wakefield Star score of 157.

The 2nd Quarter Final Shield fixture between White Wolves 2nd XI and Mayfield started but rain stopped play after the 18th over with the game well poised.
