The interest in the forthcoming season planned to start in April 2021 certainly created the positiveness as the fixtures are released.

The current national lockdown doesn’t seem to be ending any day soon but we have to remain resilient and look after our health and mental well-being. It important to take the time out to exercise and we are not likely to get into the same fitness as previous seasons. Watch the video to help you remain fit for the season.

Within the first 24 hours of releasing the fixture the website had 354 hits between the three sections. Members clubs in Crescent Section had the highest number.

Since the previous season finished the interest to join the league has been unprecedented and we now have nearly 25% of clubs who are new to the league. Of the seven new members, two are established club who were formed in 90’s and the remaining clubs are newly formed which is great for cricket and the local communities. The league now has clubs from three out of the four districts of the county and the committee will invest his time in working with communities in the Calderdale area, mainly in Halifax to attract interest to form new clubs and to join the league.

The league’s Executive Results and Registration Officer, Hanzaq Mir has been busy over the past few months. Since opening up the new season registration system 88 players have already been applied for to register with our member clubs.
