Week18: Premier Section
The Quaid E Azam Sunday Cricket League was full of entertainment where a few surprising results and performances caught the eye! Wajid Khan scored an unbeaten 184* for his side Kashmir Dewsbury who piled the runs on Flix CC. Wajid Hussain’s marvellous innings of 184no and his colleague Abdul Waheed who also scored 67 gave Kashmir Dewsbury a total of 338-6, in reply Flix only managed to score 162 before they were all out with Farukh Alam taking 4-26.
After their terrific cup championship last week, OnQ suffered a shock defeat against newly promoted side My Lahore. OnQ were all out for 172 in reply My Lahore just managed to cross over the line with 9 wickets down. Amir Ayub scoring a valuable half century for My Lahore (55).
Second position Keighley RZM only managed to gain a winning draw against last week’s Cup runners up Darulshafa. Darulshafa won the toss and put RZM into bat. RZM manage to score 162 before they were all out. In reply Darulshafa scored 108-8.
Fighting relegation side Raja CC yet again suffered another defeat this week at the hands of White Rose.  Raja scored 171-7 with Faisal Javed scoring 57, in reply despite losing 7 wickets thanks to some fine piece of bowling by Mohammed Kashif taking 4-31 White Rose chased down the total with Imran Khan scoring a valuable 40.
Finally, League Leaders Bhalot Strikers had a comfortable win against Heaton Park, who were all out for 96 with 57 of those runs coming from Shaukat Ali. Bhalot Strikers comfortably reached their target with the loss of 3 wickets.

Section A
In Section A the battle for promotion is still on, as Punjab suffered their 2nd defeat of the season at the hands of Earlmarshall. Skipper Shiraz Ali scored a half century (51) for his team, which gave Punjab CC a total of 208. In reply Arsalan Mir 73, Jonny Youans unbeaten 61 & Indherdip Singh 43 comfortably gave 3rd place Earlmarshall a 7 wicket victory.
Second place Diamond comfortably beat Shaheen by 70 runs. Diamond were all out for 136, in reply Shaheen were dismissed for 66. Mohammed Altaf taking 4-9.
Rising Stars managed to score a big total of 256-7 against bottom side Azad CC with contributions from M Mounam 55, Waqas Kiyyani 43 & Babar Yaqoob unbeaten 41 amongst run makers. In reply Azad were all out for 102. Anas Imtiaz with 4-34.
Skipper Bilal Ejaz scored a valuable 65 for his team Bradford Moor who comfortably beat Indus Ghari by 7 wickets. Indus Ghari were all out for 147 with Junaid Jamshed taking 4-34.
The Game between Tabs CC & Karmand CC was abandoned. The matter has been referred to the Executive Committee.

Section B
Style CC are enjoying their time in the Quaid e Azam Sunday Cricket League as they are persistently challenging for promotion into Section A. Aamir Rehman 84 and skipper Waqas Ahmed 42 gave Style CC a good total of 245 before they were all bowled out. Mohammed Zulfiqar had a good all round performance for his team. First taking 7-42 followed by a century (101). However, having no real support from his team mates saw Kashmir Bradford all out for 146.
Aftab Khan scoring an unbeaten century gave EAM a comfortable 6 wickets victory over Yorkshire Lions. Bilal Shahid scored 55 for Lions, who were all out for 185 thanks to Abdul Rehman who took 4-55. EAM are joint top alongside Style CC.
Third placed Bradford Royals beat bottom of the table Patriots by 31 runs. Quadrat Azizi with a half century 51. Azad Arif taking 4-26 for Patriots. In reply Patriots were all out for 113.
Central Leeds had a close 19 runs victory over Green Stars. Qasim Baig’s great effort of 104 gave his side strong hope of chasing down Central Leeds big total of 286. Amongst the scorers were Adnan Ahmed 77 & an unbeaten 60* from Abdul Jabbar. However Green Stars were all out for 267.
Chach CC enjoyed their 3rd win of the season over Kings XI who were all out for 83. Zulfiqar Ahmed 5-26 & Adnan Shehzad 4-31 amongst the wicket takers. In reply Chach CC managed to cross the line with 5 wickets down.
